India Center, a not-for-profit organization established in 1996 by Mr. Vibhav Kant Upadhyay, was instituted with a vision of working towards Strong Global Partnership between India and Japan and Alternative Development Model. This led to formation of one of the most prolific global partnership initiative- the India-Japan Global Partnership (IJGP).
The IJGP declaration was signed under the aegis of IC in 2000, by Honorable Prime Ministers of India and Japan- Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Yoshiro Mori. The ultimate objective of such a partnership is not just to strategically support each other towards developmental and socio-economic progress but also to establish an Alternative Development Model (ADM).
To generate awareness by bridging the huge information gap existing between the two nations
To Increase the levels of interaction between policy makers, academicians, business leaders and opinion leaders from both the countries
To stimulate the economy and execute new socio-economic frameworks
To develop a multi-faceted relationship between both the nations and Global Partner countries based on the principles of RME & EES
